Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! Another musical present under the Doom Charts tree… It’s THE SWELL FELLAS and their NOVATURIA album. They made the June edition of the Doom Charts.
Andy Kovalcik wrote: “This band is just a trio yet they create such a full, psychedelic, swirling wall of sound. The great heavy guitar work keeps the stoner rock fan in me more than happy too. This is more of an album to immerse yourself in with some headphones or on a car trip than a party album, you wanna be able to concentrate on the fine music.”
Joop Konraad wrote: “Clocking only thirty-three minutes, the five tracks slowly build into this oscillating, swirling maelstrom of heavy rock. All the while painting those extremely wild and colorful vistas, the ones that will make you dream and never want to wake up from. Which probably makes it a good thing the album only lasts for thirty-three minutes. The three sound like this (s)well-oiled machine, knowing its every cog, its every gear and how they fit perfectly together.”
