A new edition to that amazing compilation series done by Billy Goate of Doomed And Stoned. Always imploring the aid, for the curation of the compilation of the local heavy underground crazies. This time Steph LE SAUX stepped up and our very own Thierry “Pumpkin-T“ François took care of the cover art. What you get is a veritable who’s who of the heavy underground in France. The tracklist is amazing, the songs are amazing and all those bands give you exactly what you need!

Billy Goate (Doomed & Stoned): “In celebration of Doomed & Stoned‘s 10th anniversary, this is the brand new compilation ‘Doomed & Stoned in France (Vol. 2)’   The groundbreaking compilation series started in 2014 with an interest in exploring local and regional scenes around the world that trafficked in doom metal and stoner rock (two styles that grew up together in the ’70s and have continued to evolve ever since).   This is our second journey to France, a scene that is continuing to evolve and break stereotypes, showing just how deep and low the Sabbath Sound can go!”

Steph LE SAUX’s own words: ” Sorry if you were not aware yet, but France is not only the country of culture, champagne, tasty gastronomy, social rights and impetuosity (I made it short, you can complete the list… hahaha), for quite some years now it’s also a growing source of heavy and doomy sounds! I hope, Volume 1 already proved to most of your ears this new solid trait ! Now I tried to push this volume 2 even further in terms of quality, diversity and with some nice surprises for the occasion (like a special comeback, songs in avant-premiere). From doom/death to harsh sludge, while not forgetting stonerized or psychedelized stuff and naturally more traditional Doom spheres, you’ll get here a pretty dense and diversified inventory of the underground scene I’m succumbing for… Now enjoy your journey in our tortured yet beautiful soundscapes and please SUPPORT our bands !”
