VEILCASTE & TUSK – VEILCASTE & TUSK split album
Can we make it an even ten please? Well, we’re getting there! Did we ever do a Split album for Friday Freebie before? Not sure, but here’s VEILCASTE & TUSK and their massive split! Released July 1st on Wise Blood Records and Small Hand Factory this split will split you in half!
Words about the Split album: “Today we release one of the heaviest splits of the year with this collaboration between Indiana heavyweights VEILCASTE and TUSK. Veilcaste’s doom and gloom will hypnotize fans of emotionally resonant heaviness like Yob, Neurosis, and Tiamat (“Wildhoney”-era). Meanwhile, Tusk introduce some nasty death metal grit to their bellowing sludge that places them in the battlefield between Conan and Primitive Man. All songs were engineered and mixed by Carl Byers (ex-Coffinworm). Collin Jordan (Bongripper, Cough) mastered the Veilcaste tracks. Each band includes two new original songs, as well as a memorable cover song. Veilcaste opts for a haunted rendition of “Return of the Fly” by horror punk legends The Misfits. Tusk recruited vocalist Brandon Howe (Mother of Graves, Summon the Destroyer) for their Cannibal Corpse homage of “Festering in the Crypt.” The split album is adorned by a beautiful cover art etching from Scott Wilson (Demiricous).”
Veilcaste: “We are Veilcaste from Indianapolis, IN. We play Doom/Sludge Metal and we started in the winter of 2010, and until 2020 we were known as Conjurer. Our second LP “Sigils” came out April 2019. We are currently working on our third LP.”
Tusk: “We are Tusk from Indianapolis Indiana; a three piece doom/sludge band formed in November of 2018.”
