Monocluster – Ocean (2019)
Monocluster are back with their highly anticipated follow up to their 2015 debut self titled album. I can vividly remember digging the hell out of their album then especially remembering that album cover with the heavy equipment in vintage style print. It’s definitely loaded with heavy artillery in terms of music. They’ve generously kicked down a cluster of codes and we highly recommend giving these guys some love. Like seriously, this one will sneak up on you with its intoxicating atmosphere and alluring distortion.
Here’s what a couple of our contributors thought:
- Brilliant album. Light but dark. Soft but brutal. This is something you gotta sit back and really let yourself get swept away with. A unique expansive sound drawing from the best of stoner, psyche and doom without any of the cliches.
High Desert Valley Radio. Favorite track: A Place Beyond. ~Jay Morgan (High Desert Valley Radio)
- Wow! Imagine a mixture of All Them Witches and The Devil & the Almighty Blues all wrapped up in an heavy layer of progressive serenity. ~Bucky Brown (The Ripple Effect)
