Pesta – Faith Bathed in Blood (2019)
(Belo Horizonte, Brazil)
This is my kind of DOOM. It has many of the classic elements of true doom, a ton of groove, big fat riffs, Ozzy-esque vocals giving it a bonafide nostalgia effect, yet all in the same bringing a modern stoned out fuzz into the mix. A great representation of what we are here to help promote at the Doom Charts. Not really fitting perfectly into any particular genre other than bad ass heavy music. Grab a code before they are all gone and let us know what you think.
Here’s what a couple of our contributors thought:
- Mammoth grooves of doomic splendour allied to strong clean vocals make “Faith Bathed In Blood” one mightily impressive listen and a must have release for lovers of intelligent doom. Favorite track: The Myth of R’lyeh ~Frazer Jones (Desert Psychlist)
- Can’t really add anything to FDJ’s comment other than I’ve waited three years for a new Pesta album, has it been worth the wait I here you ask … HELL YEA !! Favorite track: Hand of God. ~Steve Rodger (God’s Holy Trousers)
